n the past four years, I have had the privilege of visiting Paris, France three times. Paris is known as the City of Lights, and photographers in particular are drawn to its marvelous diversity of subject matter. From the formal gardens of Versailles, to the country charm and beauty of Claude Monet's home in Giverny, each trip gave me a fresh look at the blend of history and art that is uniquely Parisian.

In this portfolio sampling, I am showing some of the shots from my most recent trip to Paris in April 2000. Most of the pictures are taken with high-speed infrared film, and since returning home, I have enjoyed the task of sorting and hand-coloring some of my favorites. Photos are so versatile, and in choosing how to print, tone and color a shot, I am able to create a variety of looks with the same negative.

As time goes on, I will be updating and replacing these shots with others from my favorites in Paris. Keep coming back - I shot lots of film!

ids play better than anyone, so it is no wonder that it was the world of kids' portraits that originally drew me into this business. In my portrait shootings, I try to give children the opportunity to be themselves. That's why I rarely shoot portraits indoors. I like to use natural settings and a child's own favorite toy as a prop. Although these photos are not typical of the portraits you would receive by going to a studio sitting, I think they are more uniquely suited to the playful and spontaneous nature of children.

As a mother of two beautiful children myself, I treasure the photos that portray the special mood of childhood. Time passes so quickly - I try to stop it for a moment in my portrait sittings as a token of remembrance to parents of their own children At Play.

Please note that none of the photos here are for sale. Please click here for a list of my rates for sittings, proofs and photos and then call or email me to set up an appointment or ask any questions that you may have.

Enjoy...

n August, we took a family vacation to Hawaii - specifically to the island of Maui. Despite protests, I brought my cameras along and managed to shoot several rolls of film while we were there.

For the first time, we took the famous "Road to Hana" - a 52 mile, crooked, one-lane road trip around the southeastern edge of the island. We pulled over a lot in order for me to get out and shoot the beautiful waterfalls and other scenery.

Again, I will continue to add pictures to this portfolio as I get them finished, so keep coming back!
